Our services include:-
Residential care for children:
Three children's homes situated in Leeds and one in Bradford, looking after approximately twenty-two children and young people.
Services for adults with learning disabilities:
Eight homes offering "homes for life" for approximately forty-four adults with varying degrees of learning disabilities: four residential homes situated in Dewsbury, Skipton, and Leeds (2); and four supported living residences situated in Bingley, Todmorden, Keighley and Skipton.
Supported housing for people with mental illness:
Four such projects in Bradford (2), Leeds and Sowerby Bridge offer supported accommodation to thirty-seven adults with long term mental health difficulties.
Field social work teams:
We offer a comprehensive Adoption Service, including finding families for children with special needs, post-adoption support and Section 51 counselling.
Our School and Community Social Work Team offers social work support to children, young people and their families.
Community-based projects:
The Huddersfield Project for Older People provides activities which address the social, practical and spiritual concerns of older people, particularly aimed at combating loneliness and isolation.
Note:
Our Adoption Service also covers the areas of the Diocese of Hallam, and the southern half of the Diocese of Middlesbrough.
