GOOD SHEPHERD CELEBRATION 2007
Wednesday 2nd May
St Anne’s Cathedral, Leeds
Children from across the Diocese met for the Good Shepherd Service in the newly refurbished Cathedral. Bishop Arthur Roche was delighted to see so many schools represented, and was thrilled at their magnificent efforts to raise £32,757.
Mark Wiggin, Chief Executive of Catholic Care, thanked everyone for coming and for their great and imaginative efforts over Lent that raised money for other children as well as adults who needed their support.
This year children from St John the Evangelist Catholic Primary School, Bradford, led the celebrations presenting different aspects of Mary in music, mime and dance, finishing with a procession of flowers to the feet of the Statue of Mary.
