This is a Supported living service providing accommodation to ten adults with learning difficulties, with a mix of both male and female tenants.
The Service is two houses linked by a corridor which provides access to both properties. Each house comprises of a communal lounge, kitchen, dining area, bathrooms with WC and a separate shower room.
There are 11 single bedrooms, one of which is used as a guest room used by support workers for over night stays. Each bedroom is decorated and furnished to each tenant’s wishes and needs.
Situated close to Bingley, tenants are able to enjoy the benefits of nearby facilities with bus and rail links to surrounding places.
Each tenant has a key worker who works closely with them and their family/advocates to produce a person centered plan which looks at all areas of the individual’s life, ensuring individual needs are met.
Tenants are supported and encouraged to be as independent as they are able. Visitors are welcome in line with the visitor’s agreement, which has been drawn up by the tenants.
At Bingley we aim to provide a well balanced diet. Tenants are supported to devise menus carry out the food shop and prepare meals; all staff involved in food preparation hold a basic food hygiene certificate.
Tenants are supported to access a wide range of services such as further education; supported employment; social and leisure activities. Support is also provided to access a full range of health services e.g. Doctors, dentist, opticians and hospital appointments.
