This property is a supported living service, which accommodates four adults with learning disabilities.

The house is a detached two storey property with garage and gardens to the front and rear. It is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac close to Brighouse town centre, which has good bus, rail and motorway links to the surrounding area.

The property has five bedrooms, one of which is used by the support workers for overnight stays, and one of which is en-suite and situated on the ground floor. There is also a large lounge dining room, a recently refurbished kitchen and bathroom, and a utility room and separate downstairs WC.

The service provides a person centered focus. Tenants are encouraged and supported to be as independent as they are able in all areas of their lives.

Support is provided to access a wide range of services in the local community such as further education; employment; social and leisure activities and attending medical appointments (e.g. doctors; dentist; opticians and specialist).

We aim to provide a nutritious well balanced diet. Tenants are supported to devise menus; carry out the weekly food shop and prepare meals. All staff involved in food preparation hold the basic food hygiene certificate.

We work closely with families; advocates and other professionals including The Commissions for Social Care Inspections; social workers and care managers to provide a high quality of support.

Family and friends are free to visit following the acknowledgement of the tenants and inline with the visitor’s agreement which has been drawn up by the tenants.

Each tenant had a personal plan worker whom ensures they have a P.C.P in place. Tenants occupy a single room, which they can decorate and finish to their personal taste and needs.

The current age range of tenants is between 42 – 63 with and even mix of male and females.
