General Description

This is a supported living service which accommodates 5 adults with learning disabilities. The house is a newly built detached property which has a drive way, small garden area to the front and a large garden patio to the rear.

It has 6 bedrooms one of which is used as a guest bedroom used by support workers for overnight stays. The accommodation is over three floors; ground floor has a hall, two bedrooms, lounge, and a large kitchen dinner with access to the back garden. There is also a wet room and utility area. The first floor has three bedrooms and a bath room with a shower cubical. The second floor has one bed room and a shower room.

The house is in walking distance to Chapel Allerton, which has a variety of shops and bus links to Leeds and surrounding areas.

Our service provides a ‘Person Centred' focus. Tenants are encouraged and supported to be as independent as they are able in all areas of their lives.

Support is provided to access a wide range of services such as access to further education; day services; social and leisure activities and attending medical appointments (e.g. doctors; dentist; opticians and specialist).

We aim to provide a nutritious well balanced diet. Tenants are supported to devise menus; carry out the weekly food shop and prepare meals. All staff involved in food preparation hold the basic food hygiene certificate.

The staff work closely with families; advocates and other professionals including The Care Quality Commission, social workers and care managers to provide a high quality of support.

Visitors, Family and friends are free to visit following the acknowledgement of the tenants and inline with the visitor's agreement which has been drawn up by the tenants.

Each tenant had a personal plan worker whom ensures they have a P.C.P in place. Tenants occupy a single room, which they can decorate and finish to their personal taste and needs. The current age range of tenants is between 45 - 61 with and mix of male and females.
