This property is a supported living service which accommodates three young adults with learning difficulties. The house is a Semi-Detached Dorma-Bungalow with gardens to the front and back from which views around the surrounding areas can be seen. The house is situated close to Keighley with good bus and rail links to surrounding towns.

The property has four bedrooms, two on the ground floor and two on the upper, one of which is used by support workers for over night stays. It has a lounge-dinning area, a large kitchen dinner and bathroom including a separate shower.

This service provides tenants with a person centered focus each having a key worker whom works with the individual and families/advocates to draw up a support plan to meet their needs. Each tenant is supported to be as active and independent as they are able in all areas of their lives.

Support is provided to access a range of services such as education, employment, social and leisure activities and also to attend medical appointments (hospital, doctors, dentist and opticians).

Tenants are actively involved in all areas of the running of the house from food preparation (all staff hold basic food hygiene certificates), to menu planning’s, shopping, cleaning of the house, their own personal space and laundry etc.

Each tenant occupies their own single bedroom which is furnished and decorated to their own taste and needs. Support workers work closely with families/advocates and other professional organizations. These include The Commission for social care inspection, Supporting People and CTLD Teams to provide high standards of care/ support to tenants.

The age range of tenants is currently between 30 and 39 years with a mix of both male and female tenants.
